SCARBOROUGH – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Ashley Taylor Gleason, 27, who left this world Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024. She will forever be remembered for her kindness and huge heart.
Born on Aug. 24, 1997, in Portland, to Lisa Venditti and Christopher Gleason, Ashley graduated from Scarborough High School in 2015 and went on to study four years at UMaine Farmington as a student and athlete.
Ashley’s extreme kindness, huge heart, infectious laugh, and wicked sense of humor allowed her to make so many friends and supporters in her short time with us. She was a loving, caring, and dedicated sister, daughter, niece, and granddaughter to her loved ones. She made friends everywhere she went, whether at Sugarloaf skiing, lobstering in Casco Bay, playing on her many athletic teams or in her supportive Dover community. She cared deeply about people and was loved by everyone who knew her. Ashley was well known for her unparalleled abilities and achievements as an athlete on the soccer and softball field as well as skiing at the mountain. Ashley was an avid Dallas Cowboys and N.Y. Yankees fan alongside her father. She is and will be greatly missed and will forever remain in our hearts.
Ashley is survived by her mother Lisa Venditti and father Christopher Gleason who both loved her fiercely. She is also survived by her brothers, Zachary and Tyler Chaisson, stepfather David Venditti, sisters, Sophia Venditti, Meagan Johnson and Isabelle Gleason and stepmother Andrea Brown Gleason, her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins and of course her beloved cat George.
Visiting Hours will be held Friday, September 27 from 4-7 p.m., with a Memorial Service Saturday, September 28 at 12 p.m., at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 US Route One, in Scarborough.
