Newsroom Live: How Journalists Get Their Stories is a virtual conversation that will be moderated by Press Herald Managing Editor Nita Lelyveld. She’ll be chatting with Press Herald reporter Eric Russell, Morning Sentinel reporter Dylan Tusinski and Sun Journal photojournalist Andree Kehn about how journalists find their stories. Registration is free, and this surely will be a riveting conversation before what will likely be a messier one two hours later during the first presidential debate at 9 p.m.

In the mood for some outdoor live, local music? I’ve assembled a mega list of places you can hear it including tonight in Congress Square Park where Tricky Britches takes the stage at 6 p.m. Or head to Vinegar Hill Music Theatre on Sunday afternoon from 1-5 p.m. to hear Sara Cox and Lila Mae play outdoors among food trucks and craft vendors.

For all sorts of 90s-themed entertainment and beverages, head to Definitive Brewing Company in Portland on Saturday. Jeppe Gustafsson/Shutterstock.com

There’s a ’90s revival at Definitive Brewing in Portland starting at 8 p.m. on Saturday. Featuring both a dance party and screenings of “Clueless” and “Dumb and Dumber,” the night should prove to be an absolute hoot. Themed apparel is encouraged, so dig out those jorts, track suits and flannel shirts.
