Adron Burl “Al” Baughman

PORTLAND – Adron Burl “Al” Baughman, 85, passed away June 14, 2024. He was born March 5, 1939, in Richmond, West Virginia., to the late William and Geneva (Tracy) Baughman.

At the age of 17, he joined the US Navy and was trained as an electrician, serving at Brunswick Naval Air Station, Brunswick, ME. Following his service time, he trained and became a pipe fitter journeyman with UA Local #217 and #716, where he remained in good standing for more than 57 years.

Al was a man of many talents, building cabinets and bookcases. He was also a certified propane and gas electrician.

In addition to his parents, Al was predeceased by his eldest son, Adron Burl Baughman II.

Al is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Martha (Christianson) Baughman. He is also survived by five of the six children from his first marriage, Leisha (Baughman) DiCenso, Brian Baughman, Kevin (Baughman) and wife Lisa, Kendra (Baughman) Clement, Shanna (Baughman) Ross and husband

Bryan. Al was also proud of his 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on June 29, 2024, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Elks Lodge located at 1943 Congress Street in Portland.
