Robert G. DeLisle

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Robert G. DeLisle, “Bob”, 77, passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2024, in Kissimmee, Fla. after a long illness. Born April 10, 1947, in Westbrook to Camille and Noella (Aube) DeLisle where he attended St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, served as an altar boy during his adolescent years, and graduated from Westbrook High School.

Robert is survived by his wife Susan Brochu DeLisle; a sister, Claire D. Levine of Westbrook; a stepdaughter, Amy Shea; two step-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

“Rob” or “Bob” as he was known to his family and friends was a beloved member of our family and a passionate car enthusiast especially the Corvette. Bob discovered his love for Corvettes at a young age and it remained a lifelong passion.

Bob was more than just a car enthusiast; he was a devoted family member and friend. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him. Whether he was tinkering in his garage, attending car shows, or simply sharing stores with fellow enthusiasts, he brought joy to those around him. He will be remembered for his warm smile, his adventurous spirit, and his love for life.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob’s life will be held June 17, at 2 p.m. at St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery in Westbrook.

Though he may be gone, Bob’s spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, dear Bob. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
