Jeffrey Edward Harmon

SCARBOROUGH – Jeffrey Edward Harmon, 50, passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born June 24, 1973, in Portland, and was a lifelong resident of Windham.

Jeff was a graduate of Windham High School, class of 1991. After attending college within the University of Maine System he joined the Local 716 Maine Plumbers and Pipefitters union, completing a five-year apprenticeship program gaining expertise in the semiconductor industry. Known for his commitment to quality work, he put his skills to use most recently as a Project Manager for Texas Instruments.

He married Paige Ralston in 2006 and his daughter Sydney was born two years later. He was a loving husband and father who always put the needs others before himself. Jeff had a special talent for unifying those around him, finding reasons to keep in touch and celebrate all that life has to offer. He was known for his sharp sense of humor, witty observations, and for giving unique gifts for all occasions.

Throughout his life Jeff had a love for music, attending concerts with family and friends and performing as a drummer in local bands including Moss Mountain Project, Amoga, and The Transportation Department. Jeff also never missed an opportunity to support his daughter Sydney, both as coach and proud father, as she participated in dance, soccer, volleyball, and tennis.

Jeff is survived by his wife Paige Harmon; their daughter Sydney Harmon; his parents, Dennis and Susan (Huth) Harmon; his brother and sister-in-law, Matthew and Donna Harmon, Paige’s parents, Patricia and Rhys Ralston and Paige’s brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Rita Ralston. He was a loving uncle to Timothy, Laura, and Meghan Harmon; and Hannah and Olivia Ralston.

A Memorial Service will be held 4:30 p.m., Friday, June 7, at Jones, Rich, & Barnes Funeral Home, 199 Woodford Street, Portland. This will be followed by a reception at Lone Pine Brewing Company, 87 Rock Row, Westbrook.
