GORHAM – Alan H. Buncher, 78, of Gorham, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2024. He led a well-lived life. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Buncher of Gorham, and his large family of Seth and Kathryn Buncher of Woodstock, N.Y., Marc and Kristen Buncher of Southlake, Texas, Jeff Mueller of Crestwood, Mo., Mike and Carrie Mueller of Chesterfield, Mo., Jen Anastos of Plymouth, Mass., and Michelle and Craig Gwinn of Newfields, N.H.

Alan was also a cherished grandfather of 14. Alan grew up in Pittsburgh, Pa., and had a fulfilling career in journalism. He started his career as a paper boy and worked his way up to publisher. His commitment to his profession was unwavering and his dedication left a lasting impact on those around him. A Memorial Service welcoming friends and family will be held on Friday, June 7, from 10-11 a.m., at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church at 114 Main Street in Kennebunk. There will also be a gathering for friends and family from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m., in the Parish Hall. Dennett Craig and Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main Street, Saco are entrusted with his services.
