Wilma G. Norman, 91, known as “Gig” to all who knew her, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2024, at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford, with her large, loving family at her side.

Gig was born Nov. 12, 1932, in Biddeford, one of 13 children born to William F. and Grace L (Leach) Brennan. She attended schools in Kennebunkport and Kennebunk.

In the early ’80s, she began tending bars at the Arundel Eagles, and most recently, the Wolves Club in Sanford, where they honored her retirement at the tender age of 80.

She enjoyed family time, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, tending her flower gardens, and watching her birds in the backyard.

Gig is predeceased by her husband Ralph Norman, her longtime companion Bob Nest, and many of her siblings.

Survivors include her children, David Norman of Hooksett, New Hampshire, Daniel Norman and partner Joel Benjamin of Boston, Roland Norman of St. Petersburg, Florida, John Norman and wife Lisa of Kittery, Mary Strickland of Arundel and Barbara Spaulding and husband Tim of Kennebunk; a sister, Jane Maguire of Kennebunkport; eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
