WESTBROOK – Eleanor Mae Hawkes, 98, died peacefully Feb. 3, 2023 at Springbrook Healthcare. She was born May 17, 1924, in Portland a daughter of Harry and Lottie Bell (Leighton) Winship.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, George Hawkes; daughter, Sandra Crawford; and grandson, Stephen Crawford. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Sharon Hamilton and her husband Ken, and Sheila Dorr; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday May 20 at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais & Segee, 35 Church Street, Westbrook. An hour of visitation will be held before the service. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Gorham.
