A Falmouth man who was pulled over by police with a handgun and cocaine in his car was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in Portland to 130 months – more than 10 years – in federal prison.

Adam White, 27, had about 400 grams of cocaine in the trunk of his vehicle when police pulled him over on Feb. 12, 2013, in Portland while he was on his way to a drug deal, and officers found another 3 kilograms of cocaine when they searched his home in Falmouth later that day, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

White pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge D. Brock Hornby on June 19 to charges of possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime.

Hornby also sentenced White to five years of supervised release after completion of his prison term.
