BAR HARBOR – The Coast Guard is investigating a boating accident off of Bar Harbor that left two people with minor injuries.

WNSX-FM reports the boat struck a rock when leaving College of the Atlantic on Sunday morning. There were nearly 30 people on board the boat, which was leaving for a cruise as part of the college’s family and alumni weekend.

The station reports the two people injured were a student member of the crew and a parent. They were treated and released from a hospital. The boat was able to return to the pier.
