A Limington man was in critical condition Thursday at Maine Medical Center in Portland following a single-vehicle crash Wednesday evening on Route 25 in Limington.

Dale Cabral, 21, suffered extensive life-threatening injuries when his Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck veered off the road, hit a utility pole and several small trees before coming to rest in the front yard of 87 Ossippee Trail Road, also known at Route 25, according to a news release from the York County Sheriff’s Office.

Cabral was ejected about 10 feet from the vehicle and was flown to the hospital by a LifeFlight helicopter.

The cause of the crash, which happened at about 9:45 p.m., is unknown but speed appears to have been a factor, police said.
