On May 1, 1999, she married Richard J. Moreau of Harpswell.
Sandra worked at Enterprise Engineering in Brunswick for 17 years, and later for the State of Maine as administrative assistant for the Commissioner of Education for eight years.
Sandra loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren Gavin and Maya. She had a passion and talent for gardening. Sandra and her husband Richard loved spending time on their boat, and could be found there most summer evenings and weekends. Sandra was a remarkable woman who truly loved life. She will be greatly missed by many.
Sandra is survived by her husband Richard of Harpswell; parents Donald and Alberta Pickard of Topsham; daughter Katherine Wallace (Kitson) and her husband Nathan of Harpswell; her grandchildren Gavin and Maya of Harpswell; brother Donald L. Pickard of Topsham; sisters Christine Briggs of Harpswell, Patricia Norzow and her husband Eric of Bowdoin; niece Claire Briggs of Harpswell, and nephews Evan and Matthew; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visiting hours will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 22 at Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24 at the United Baptist Church, 1 Elm St., Topsham, with the Rev. Ronald McLaughlin officiating. Interment will be in Orr’s Island Cemetery at a later date. Memorial condolences may be expressed and a video tribute may be viewed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com.
