TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School boys jayvee soccer team dropped a pair of games to end its regular season. The first game featured a close battle with Hampden Academy coming out on top 2-1. Evan Thibeaut scored the lone goal for the Eagles. Nick Breed, Thomas Dau, Ryan Glass, Sam Asletne and Dalton Streeter were noted for strong play throughout the contest.

Mt. Ararat rounded out its season, facing rival Brunswick, but it was the Dragons that got the better end walking away with a 3-0 win.

Brunswick received a goal each from Gauthier Petitfrere, Ezra Rogers (on a bicycle kick) and Ryan Croatti, while goaltender Max Grammins turned aside 11 shots. Owen Ginty added an assist.

Despite the loss, Eagles Nick Merrill, Codie See, Dau, Kelton Rose, Ryan Rethi, Gage Palmer and Glass all played well.

Elliot Bowie and Jacob Laurence shared time in net, each blocking four shots. The Eagles ended the season with a record of 8-4-2, while the Dragons were 11-2-1.
