BATH — Blanche “Connie” Kneeland, 77 of Bath died Saturday, November 26th at Hillhouse with her family by her side. She was born on March 30, 1934 in Bath, ME, the daughter of Earl F. Haines and Estella M. (Norton) Haines.
She attended Bath Schools and worked in Nursing Homes, Restaurants and worked at the Bath School Department as a custodian for 23 years. She married Harmon Kneeland in 1951. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, taking pictures and spending time with family and friends.
She was predeceased by her late husband Harmon, who died on July 12, 1996. Her father Earl died in October of 1983 and mother Estella died April of 1998. A brother Edward Haines who died August 2, 2009 and a brotherin law Robert Lowery who died on September 10, 2011.
She is survived by two sons, Richard E. Kneeland and his partner Brian Carmody of Catonville, MD and David B. Kneeland of Wiscasset, ME. Two sisters, Affie ( Tilly) Lloyd and her husband David of Phippsburg, ME and Annette Lowery of Bath, ME. One brother Earl Haines and his wife Patty of Topsham, ME. Four grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
