Eva Giovanis, 94, fell asleep on April 24, 2013 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, with her son, George, by her side. Visiting hours will be on Friday evening, April 26 from 7-9 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St. in Saco. The Trisagion Service will be held during the visiting hours. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 186 Bradley St. in Saco. Burial will follow at St. Demetrios Hellenic Orthodox Cemetery in Biddeford. Fr. Basil Arabatzis will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Eva’s memory to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 186 Bradley St., Saco, ME 04072; or St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 40 Andrew Jarvis Drive, Portsmouth, NH 03801; or Massachusetts General Hospital, 55 Fruit St., Boston, MA 02114.
Henry R. Knight, 73, of Waterboro, died on Jan. 2, 2013 in Kennebunk. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 1 at 2 p.m. at the Pine Grove Cemetery in South Waterboro. Arrangements are under the direction of Black Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, Sanford-Springvale.
