Kennebunkport Conservation Trust’s Trust in Our Children program has a few opportunities for Consolidated School’s students to get out and learn about the geology and history of local islands.

Earlier this week, fifth-grade students were scheduled to go to Stage Island with the Kennebunk High School geology class and have a cookout during the trip.

On June 3, the third-graders will be heading out to Redin Island to learn about the tide range and phases of the moon.

On June 6, kindergartners will be going to the Trust and Goose Rocks Beach for an all-day outing to learn about the five senses, erosion, beach art and more, plus a treasure hunt at the beach.

Boots, sunscreen and water shoes are recommended.
