As a mother of three elementary school children, I want young families in Freeport to know how important it is to vote yes on Freeport’s withdrawal from RSU 5. Since coming to this town in 2009, my husband and I have been so impressed by the influx of young, school-supporting families that are choosing to call Freeport home. It is this group of families coming up through the school system whose energy and enthusiasm can – and will – build a terrific school environment for our kids. A vibrant, well-supported school system will continue to drive demand for housing, which is good for taxpayers and for our local economy.

Families like mine will need voter support to help our schools achieve greatness – which is why I’ve come to believe that Freeport families are best served by Freeport voters.

Freeport has plenty of history operating strong public schools on its own. Given the vitality I’ve seen in our community, there is no doubt in my mind that we can do it again.

Please join me in voting yes for a Freeport School District.
