Donald Wayne Keniston

FALMOUTH – Donald Wayne Keniston, 83, of Falmouth, Maine, passed away peacefully at his home on May 6, 2026. Born on Feb. 17, 1943, in Portland, Maine, to Elmer and Ethel Keniston, Wayne lived a life marked by dedication to his family, community, and passions.

For over five decades, Wayne owned and operated a snowmobile repair and accessories business in Falmouth, becoming a cornerstone of the Southern Maine snowmobiling community. His expertise and commitment to the sport earned him widespread respect. In April 2026, Wayne was inducted into the Maine Snowmobile Association Hall of Fame—a fitting tribute to his lifelong contributions to the sport he loved.

Wayne’s interests extended beyond his professional endeavors. He was an avid snowmobiler and racer who delighted in working on engines, particularly Fords and Polaris snowmobiles. Summers were spent on Sebago Lake with friends and family aboard his cherished boat, creating lasting memories.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Gina Keniston; his sister, Beverly Keniston; his daughter, Carmen Keniston Bishop; stepchildren Sherri Williams and John Williams; and grandson Logan Williams, along with many other grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Ethel Keniston; and stepson Zackery Williams.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 30, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Wilshore Farms, 85 Hurricane Rd., featuring an All-American BBQ in Wayne’s honor. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beverages and additional servings to share.

May Donald Wayne Keniston rest in peace, forever remembered for his kindness, determination, and love for family and community.
