LYMAN – E. Frances Stearns, 95, of Stearns Road, passed away Sunday at her residence. She was born April 28, 1929, in Lyme, NH, the daughter of Herbert and Edna May (Conforth) Gray.
She moved to Maine at a young age and attended school in Kennebunk. Edna (Fran) worked as a nurse’s aide, in retail, and babysitting her grandchildren for many years. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crafts, mowing her lawn, gardening and sewing.
Edna (Fran) was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard in 2006.
Survivors include a son Richard Stearns, Jr. of Lyman and his wife JoAnn, three daughters Donna Philbrick of Lyman and husband Russell Sr., Linda Fecteau of Lyman and husband Paul and Cheryl Robertson of Dayton; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at Goodwins Mills Cemetery. Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, Saco are entrusted with her services.
