Scarborough is growing fast.

Our town is close to Portland, has some of the best beaches in the state and is a growing business community.

Those can be good things, but they also create real challenges as we try to find the right balance between creating new and protecting what we already have.

Question 3 would invest up to $6 million to protect our water, Scarborough Marsh, natural areas and open spaces, farmland, historic sites and beach access. All projects considered for funding must be approved by the Town Council, and generally attract grant funding or private donations to stretch the public dollars even further.

Scarborough is a great place to live, raise a family and work. A “yes” vote on Question 3 will keep it that way.
