I wonder what Donald Trump supporters make of the hundreds of Republicans, formerly in positions of power, who now advise them to vote for the Democratic candidate for president. From national security reasons, to economic policy, to adhering to the rule of law, they beg us all to be real patriots, as they are, and vote for saving our precious experiment in real democracy, while also saving the formerly great Republican Party.
I hope they think about this. Understand the seriousness of what we stand to lose if Trump attains power again. That this many Republicans, in historical positions of authority, want them to vote against this one Republican, this one time, ought to cause them to reconsider their loyalty.
Will they be loyal to a mere person or to our Constitution, which has done, until now, a pretty good job of giving us a government of, by and for the people.
