Tammie Anne Quimby

SOUTH PORTLAND – It is with sadness in our hearts, sorrow in our souls, and love unwavering that we announce the passing of our beloved Tammie. On July 27, 2024, with family and friends by her side, she passed away peacefully in her home after losing a hard-fought battle with liver and kidney disease.

Tammie was born on Nov. 29, 1969, in Brunswick and was raised in the Bath area. Alongside her fiancé, she called the Cape Elizabeth/South Portland area home for the past 24 years – here, she raised two beautiful daughters of her own and contributed to her community as a substitute teacher and educational technician. Tammie had a passion for working with special needs children and touched the lives of many students with her kindness and dedication.

Tammie is survived by her fiancé, Mike Stinchfield; daughters Cassandra Quimby and Samantha Quimby, son-in-law, Michael Witherell; stepdaughter, Michelle Stinchfield and her sons, Finn, Wyatt, and Holden; stepson, Brandon Stinchfield and his daughter, Hayleigh; sister, Wanda Coombs, brother-in-law, Randy Coombs, and siblings Billy, Connie, Bonnie, Robert, and Tina; as well as their loved ones and children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Klara and William Ramsey; and her nephew, Nicholas.

God called upon Tammie to be an angel at the young age of 54 – a wonderful mother, loyal friend, and loving partner – her presence in the lives of those who knew her will be deeply missed and our love for her will never ebb.

Arrangements for a Celebration of Life are being made – friends and family will be contracted directly with final details
