Arundel Conservation Trust’s fourth annual Fall Trail Fest hosted a record turnout on Saturday when nearly 170 participants completed a trio of events. The festivities, based at the Arundel Municipal Building, included 5K, 10K and half marathon runs that employed the trust’s Arundel Community Trails and the Eastern Trail.

Eli Nixon, of Portland, won the half marathon in 1 hour, 20 minutes, 45 seconds. Topping the women’s field was Michelle Boland of Burlington, Massachusetts, in 1:35:57. Boland was third overall.

In the 5K, Ally Mackenzie, of Biddeford, topped the women’s field in 27:38. Mackenzie was seventh overall. Taking top prize for the men and overall was Reece Saunders, of Saco, in 21:32.

Colby Nixon, of Cumberland, prevailed in the 10K, posting a time of 37:25. Taking top prize in the women’s field was Alexa Demers, of Dover, New Hampshire, in 48:57.

  • Half marathon: Chris Benson, Kennebunkport, fifth overall, 1:38:01; Hayley Wuerthner, Arundel, 21st, 1:59:36.
  • 10K: Thomas Schenck, Kennebunk, fourth, 44:07; Brooke Curtin-Johnson, Kennebunk, 33rd, 1:05:06.
  • 5K: Archie Adams, Arundel, third, 24:09; Alena Comella, Kennebunk, eighth, 27:49.
