Hires, promotions, appointments

Erin Campbell has been promoted to CFO at Maine Savings Federal Credit Union. She joined as senior vice president of finance and accounting last year and was previously CFO at Maine State Credit Union and Brewer Federal Credit Union. David Sayers, CFO at Maine Savings for 15 years, will take on the newly created position of chief strategy officer.

King

Fox

Richard J. King has joined InterMed providing consultative care and general surgery. He will also see surgery patients at Northern Light Mercy Hospital in Portland. Previously, he was the trauma medical director at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston as well as interim chief of surgery.

Amy Fox, a licensed HR professional, was hired at Norway Savings Bank as vice president of human resources. She has over 20 years of experience in finance, retail, lending and branch management.

Nick Malone has joined Malone Commercial Brokers as a sales agent.

Recognition

Kennebunk Savings was given Avesta Housing’s Mission Champion Award, an annual award recognizing an organization that has made significant contributions to affordable housing. Kennebunk Savings donated 12 acres and over $500,000 to Avesta last year.

L.L.Bean received the MEMIC Award for Excellence in Safety for its work with safety workshops, training programs and on-site safety assessments.

Bar Harbor Bank and Trust earned Best-In-State Bank from Forbes Magazine for the third consecutive year.

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center was awarded a Pathway to Excellence designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. It is the first medical center in Maine and New Hampshire to earn the designation.

Portland law firm Verrill was recognized by Chambers and Partners, a global research and publishing firm, along with 23 of its Maine-based attorneys. It was recognized in categories including bankruptcy/restructuring, employee benefits and executive compensation, energy and natural resources, environment, labor and employment, litigation in medical malpractice and insurance defense, and real estate.
