Debra Roberge

SCARBOROUGH – Debra Roberge, 59, passed away peacefully on June 17, 2024, at the Gosnell Memorial Hospice in Scarborough. She was born March 3, 1965, in Portland, daughter of the late Richard and Linda (Sherman) Roberge. Deb graduated from South Portland High School in 1983 and earned her accounting degree from Husson University in 2005.

Deb lived in Falmouth for 27 years. Her landlords became like family to her. Deb began working at Consolidated Communications in 2005 and held a number of positions but most recently as a Senior Accountant. She was a competitive tennis player and was a top competitor on her favorite team, Grip N Rip. She played in many district and sectional championships. She will be missed by her tennis community. Deb also loved beach vacations with family and friends. She loved to spend time outdoors, whether soaking up the sun at the beach, escorting her dad to NASCAR races or visiting Gilsland Farm Audubon Center. She was a lifelong lover of the Boston Bruins, cats, bourbon, live music and ginger ale. More than anything, Deb loved spending time with her family and friends. Christmas was her favorite time of year and she had many cherished holiday traditions including taking part in The Snowflake Trail in Limerick and attending Portland Stage’s production of A Christmas Carol.

Deb was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Linda.

She is survived by her brother David (Grace) Roberge, her beloved niece, Haley Roberge, as well as several aunts, cousins and countless friends.

Family and friends would like to thank Hospice of Southern Maine for their guidance and care.

A celebration of life will be arranged for a later date.
