Ronald B. Marshall

CASCO – Ronald B. Marshall passed away peacefully on May 13, 2024, one month shy of his 85th birthday with family by his side. Ron was born and raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, and had many childhood friends and fond memories from his younger days. He and his beloved wife Jan moved to Salisbury where they raised their three daughters and were small business owners in Amesbury for many years.

Ron was a family man, a fisherman and outdoorsman to the core (a lifelong member of Lynn Fish and Game and member of Sebago Lake Anglers), a lover of animals especially his many beloved pets, outgoing (he had an uncanny ability to make friends), a Christian, and passionate about politics. Ron was also a resilient man and lived life to the fullest despite a brain aneurysm at 49 years old that left him with challenging deficits.

Following his aneurysm, Jan sold their home in 1992 and they moved to Naples, to be closer to family and fishing. He lived in Naples for over 30 years and loved the Lakes Region. Here you could find Ron fishing on the many ponds and lakes, walking the Causeway with his beloved dog(s) (rain, snow, or shine), at the Cornerstone Gospel Church, or at ‘Dunkies’ for a coffee at any chance he could get. And, in his later years, April-October, tooling around town on his golf cart.

In the last few years of his life, Ron was eager to be reunited with his beloved wife Jan, oldest daughter Kathy, brother Jack, and many more who went before him. His legacy and memory will go on through his daughters Lynne and Tracy, son-in-law Mike, adored grandson Nash, and through enjoyment of he and his wife’s house in Naples, ‘the house that Jan built,’ by his family.

All are welcome to attend visitation and services on Saturday, June 1, from 1-3 p.m. at Hall Funeral Home, 165 Quaker Ridge Road, Casco, followed by fellowship (light food and beverages) at Cornerstone Gospel Church, 25 Sebago Road (Rt 114), Naples, ME. The family is deeply grateful to Country Village Assisted Living staff for the wonderful care and love they gave Ron during the last year of his life.

Condolences and tributes may be shared with Ron’s family and friends at http://www.hallfuneralhome.net.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Country Village Assisted, Living, activities fund, 960 Meadow Rd, Casco, ME 04015 or Cornerstone Gospel Church.
