Gisele F. Marier

WESTBROOK – Gisele F. Marier, 97, of Westbrook, died peacefully on May 24, 2024.

She was the eldest child of Horace and Juliette Charbonneau, born on April 20, 1927, in Mac Kayville, Quebec, Canada.

Gisele married the love of her life, Origene Marier, in 1956 and lived in Westbrook for 67 years. They had three children.

She was predeceased by her husband, “Gene” in 1995 and her parents and siblings, Normand, Andre, Agathe and Jean-Eudes.

Gisele devoted her life to her family and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her children; Dianne, and her husband, William Sears, Claire, widowed (Richard Hutchins), Denis, and his wife, Kimberly; grandchildren; Daniel Sears, and his girlfriend, Rachel Currie, Laura Sears Lamarr, and her husband, Anthony, Shawn Hutchins, Captain Gregory Hutchins, USAF, and his wife, Danielle and Tyler Marier and her great grandchildren Logan and Lucas Hutchins and Wyatt Sears.

Gisele was a devout Catholic and had a beautiful reverence for our Lord, Jesus. She lived her life for him, teaching her children to live in his love and walk in his ways. She shared his love to all who knew her.

She crocheted hundreds of mittens for St. Hyacinth fairs.

Gisele was very proud to become an American citizen in 1996 and worked at Bradlees for many years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Hyacinth Church, 268 Brown Street, Westbrook, officiated by Father Dominique, on May 30, 2024 at 11 a.m.
