Lora (Berry) Drummond

HOLLIS – Lora (Berry) Drummond, 66, passed away from Scleroderma on June 14, 2023, with her family by her side.

Lora was born in Westbrook on Feb. 14, 1957, daughter of Paul and Helen Berry. Lora grew up in Sebago Lake attending Bonny Eagle High School. She then met Sam Drummond and they were married on Nov. 17, 1973.

Lora enjoyed many hobbies. Attending craft fairs, spending time in her flower gardens, birdwatching, and on weekends she and her husband went antiquing in search of the “perfect” Native American Baskets for their collection.

Lora is a lifetime member of the Mayflower society which she learned while completing two years of Genealogy research. It was during this time that she also learned of her Native American Heritage here in Maine.

Lora had a great love for Springer Spaniels and could always be seen with one by her side. She was a member of St. Matthew’s and St. Anne’s parish’s where she volunteered her time baking goodies for church fairs.

Lora was predeceased by her mother, Helen Berry; and her sister, Roberta Holling.

Lora is survived by her husband of 50 years, Sam Drummond of Hollis; daughter, Dione Morin of Saco; grandchildren Paige Morin of Old Orchard Beach, Austin Morin of Scarborough; father, Paul Berry of Sebago Lake; and siblings Susan Berry of Sebago Lake, John Berry of Casco, and Pam Collins of Limington.

At Lora’s request there will be no services.
