A teenager from Livermore Falls who was last seen Saturday night has been found, according to a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Asia Brown, 16, was located Monday night and is safe, according to spokesperson Shannon Moss.
Brown, who has high-functioning autism and requires medication, was located in a wooded area near a field, just over one mile from her home, by a Maine Search and Rescue Dog.
Brown was last seen Saturday, July 30, around 8:30 p.m. at her home on Campground Road in Livermore Falls. Her father discovered that she was missing Sunday morning at around 6:30 a.m. At the time of her disappearance, her family and police did not know what type of clothing she was wearing or what direction she might be headed in.
Following her disappearance, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office issued a Silver Alert for Brown and an extensive search was launched.
Game Warden Lt. Jason Luce told News Center Maine that about 30 people were searching for her Monday. Crews utilized 11 K9 units, as well as a drone and search plane.
