Barbara I. Temm

COVENTRY, Conn. – Barbara I. Temm, 85, formerly of Scarborough, passed away on March 16, 2022, at her home in Coventry, Conn., with family and friends by her side.

Barbara, daughter of William S. Temm and Maria Alice Neault Temm Sr., was the fifth of 11 children.

She grew up on the family farm on Beech Ridge Road, and graduated from Scarborough High School, class of 1955. She worked at Universal Watkins for several years. Barbara went to IBM School, graduated, and then moved to Connecticut where she worked at the Kodak Co., then got her job at Pratt and Whitney which she retired from in 1999 after 34 years.

Barbara loved to travel, taking our mother on several trips to Quebec. She also visited her niece, Connie, in Germany and traveled several times to France.

Barbara loved animals and had her own dog and a couple of cats, plus any stray that came to her door. She was a diehard Red Sox fan and loved the UConn girls basketball team.

Barbara was predeceased by her mother and father; three brothers, Clifton Earl of Arundel, Alfred Wayne and William “Bill” Temm Jr. of Scarborough.

She is survived by five brothers, Charles of Kennebunk, Albert of South Paris, Roy, Alvin and John Temm, all of Scarborough, two sisters, Betty J. Grant of Hollis and Frances Erickson of Scarborough; many nieces, nephews; grand nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, June 4, at Hobbs Funeral Home, 671 U.S. Route 1, Scarborough, followed by a graveside service at Black Point Cemetery, Scarborough.
