CAPE ELIZABETH – Priscilla W. Magee, 98, of Cape Elizabeth, passed away peacefully at dawn on March 18, 2022, surrounded by family.
Priscilla was born on Dec. 18, 1923 in Portland, to Leah and George Wilkins. She graduated from Westbrook High School and went off to Connecticut College. While at college she met a dashing Coast Guard Cadet and they soon set off on a 67-year adventure. Gil and Priscilla raised three children, traveled the world and thoroughly enjoyed each others’ company over the many years.
Priscilla was an avid rose gardener, reader, and bridge player. Over the years she was primarily a home maker and mother, but found time for community activities such as the Junior League and the Woman’s Exchange.
Priscilla loved her cats. Over the years she and Gil provided a loving home for many furry companions, most of them rescue animals.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gil; parents; brother, David; and her second set of parents, Leone and Bill Bollard.
She is survived by her three children, David and wife Sally of Cumberland, Cathy Sheldon and husband Tom of Waterford, Conn. and Jesse “Jay” and wife Nancy of Scarborough; six grandchildren, David Magee of Scarborough, Rick Sheldon of Putnam, Conn., Carolyn Roderick and husband Ed of Southington, Conn., Jillian Magee of Portland, Michelle Bilodeau and husband Joel of Scarborough, and Christa-Marie Dutremble and husband Jay of Scarborough, two step-grandchildren, Trevor Bean of Auburn and Devin Bean of Boston; and nine great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff at Gosnell House for their compassionate care of Priscilla over her final days.
