WATERBORO — A town-wide celebration in Waterboro begins Friday night with karaoke, an outdoor movie, a chance to fly a remote-controlled airplane, and of course fair food, and winds down Saturday night with what some say are the best fireworks around.

In addition, there will be a parade, pony rides, music and more at the annual Old Home Days .

The “home turf” for the festival, where all events will take place, are the grounds of Massabesic Middle School.

Vendors and food purveyors will begin setting up on Friday night.

Bush Pilots Ed Estabrook and Toby Guimond will be on hand with remote-controlled aircraft starting at 5:30 p.m. for those who want to try their hand behind the controls.

Waterboro Fire Department has teamed up with the Maine Bureau of Highway Safety to perform car safety seat checks from 6 to 8 p.m.
