FRANKFORT — Three people were killed in two crashes early Saturday in neighboring Waldo County towns, authorities said.
The first crash happened just before 1:30 a.m. in Frankfort, when a car rolled over, killing the driver, Michael Butler, 29, of Winterport, Sgt. Nicholas Oettinger of the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. No one else was in the vehicle.
The second accident occurred around 5 a.m. in Prospect, when a car carrying four people crashed while going around a corner near the Penobscot Narrows Bridge. Daniel Huntington, 39, of New Jersey and Sarah Brown, 37, of Monroe died in that crash, according to Oettinger. He said that two men – Alexander Brown, 22, and Roger Brown, 45, both of Prospect – were hospitalized with serious injuries.
