SACO — Irene DuDevoir, 86, of Saco and formerly of Old Orchard Beach, died Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015 at her home.

She was born April 21, 1929 in Biddeford, a daughter of Adelard and Laura (Brunelle) Gobeil and was educated in Biddeford schools.

In 1950 she married Robert A. DuDevoir in St. Andre’s Church, Biddeford.

Irene had been employed for 20 years with Bates and Pepperell manufacturing companies. She later worked at Saco Defense Corp and most recently was employed at Pine Point Nursing Center in Scarborough, retiring in 1998.

She was predeceased by Robert, her husband of 58 years, on Jan. 25, 2008. Also preceding her in death were five sisters, Yvonne Binette, Alice Bedard, Laurette Charette, Jean d’Arc Richard and Anna Neault; and four brothers, Phillippe, Willie, George and J. Henri Gobeil.

Irene is survived by two sons, Raymond and his wife Deborah DuDevoir of Biddeford and Carl and his wife Kathleen DuDevoir of Nashua, New Hampshire; two brothers, Arthur and Alfred Gobeil of Biddeford; six grandchildren, Benjamin, Jennifer, Daniel, Evan, Rebekah and Caty; and several nieces and nephews

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, Dec. 30, from 6-8 p.m., at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, ME 04005. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Biddeford.
