FORT KENT

A nurse from Maine who’s in isolation after returning from West Africa where she treated Ebola patients says she’s prepared to go to court if the state tries to quarantine her.

Kaci Hickox spoke to NBC’s “Today” show and ABC’s “Good Morning America” from Fort Kent, where she lives, on Wednesday.

She says she had no contact with anyone Tuesday and does not plan on any human contact Wednesday.

But she said if the restrictions placed on her by the state of Maine are not lifted by today “I will go to court to fight for my freedom.”

She said she is symptom free and quarantine policies in Maine and other states are “not scientifically or constitutionally just.”

Hickox had previously been placed in isolation in New Jersey after returning from Africa.
