Portland police are investigating a report of a noontime armed robbery Monday near 116 Mountfort St. in the city’s Munjoy Hill neighborhood.

A man in his 20s told police he was robbed of his backpack, containing personal items, and cash by three black men armed with handguns.

One suspect is described as 6 feet 3 inches, in his 20s, wearing dark clothes and with long dreadlocks and a black fitted baseball cap. The second man is 5 feet 9 inches and wore black clothing. The third man is described as wearing black clothing. The robbers all wore bandanas over their faces.

They ran off toward the southeast.
