BATH — Sharon Drake Realty came away with a win and tie in recent Cal Ripken Baseball action.

Sharon Drake and Lisbon Five County Credit Union wound up in a 9-9 deadlock after eight innings.

The Sharon Drake offense was powered by Nicco Bartone with a double and two singles, followed by Jack Leonard and Joe Guenther with two singles each. Aaron Landel added a double, with Reid Barabe and Brogan Shaw singling.

Sharon Drake had the lead in both the sixth and seventh innings, but a tough Lisbon team was able to capitalize on several errors and tied the game each inning.

Lisbon also threatened again in the bottom of the eighth, loading the bases with two outs, but Shaw got a key strikeout to preserve the tie.

Shaw had five strikeouts in three innings, while Ken Bassett also pitched three innings with seven strikeouts, and Nicco Bartone fanned three in two innings.

The Lisbon offense was led by Ashton Cunningham with a double and single, and Hunter Davis with two singles.

BMDA 15

Sharon Drake beat BMDA in a wild one in Bath in recent action, despite being outhit 14-12.

Bassett led at the plate for Sharon Drake with a pair of doubles. Also contributing were Shaw (double, single), Guenther (two singles), with Bartone, Leonard, Deja Douglass, Brenton Cahill, Aaron Landel and Mason Small all chipping in a single.

Leonard, Cahill and Bartone pitched for Sharon Drake, striking out eight. Bartone pitched a solid final two frames, giving up only one run.

Sam Sinibaldi led all BMDA hitters with two doubles and a single. Caleb Tibbitts added a long triple to right field and a single. Logan Pelletier and Mathew Eckert had a double and single each, Cameron Footer two singles, and Joey Cholish, Angelo Atienza and Cade McLure a single each.

Pelletier, Tibbitts and Gavin Phillips shared the mound duties, striking out 11.

BIW 20, Sunnybrook 8

BIW came out once again with the bats swinging against Sunnybrook Village.

Ty Knowlton had three hits, Sawyer Stead two, and Kyle Fredricks, Kiernan Mann, Quintin Webster, Kaleb McPhail and Thomas Guild each chipped in with a hit each.

Pitching for BIW were Guild and Stead with a combined eight strikeouts. Catchers were Knowlton and Kaleb McPhail.

Sunnybrook’s Conner McNish had two hits and Owen Tucker one.

Pitching for Sunnybrook were Tucker and Trevor Hanna with a combined four strikeouts.

Catching was handled by Conner McNish and Boden Gould.

Smith-Tobey 4, Lisbon 2

Josiah Yeaton hit a timely double to drive in two runs in the third inning, and Kaleb Jackson ripped a tworun single in the fourth to lift Smith-Tobey Post to a Cal Ripken Baseball Major Division win over Lisbon MT Pools on Thursday.

For the winners, Thomas Warren and Jackson Walker each doubled, while Asa Hodgdon, Wade Bradford and Sam Kirkpatrick singled. Warren made a standout play at shortstop, diving to his left and throwing from his knees to retire a Lisbon batter. Jackson made two nice plays at third base.

Smith-Tobey pitching combined for 11 strikeouts and allowed just two hits. Warren and Isaak Flaming recorded three strikeouts each in one inning of work apiece, with Walker picking up two punchouts and Hodgdon four over two innings.

Lisbon received two innings of solid pitching from Neil LaRochelle.
