FALMOUTH — Something’s abuzz in Falmouth.

Maine Audubon is hosting a “Pollinators Parade and Picnic” at the Gilsland Farm on April 19 in honor of Earth Day. Parents are encouraged to bring their children dressed as bees, birds, butterflies and other wildlife for a costume parade to illustrate the importance of pollination.

Crafts, a scavenger hunt and a planting of milkweed are also on the agenda. There will also be information about pollination and resources about how families can get involved in environmental conservation.

The event begins at 10:30 a.m. and is free. The picnic is “bring your own food.”
